Dieses Modell ist ein so. "Rounded Corners" Modell, das seit 1938 parallel zu den "Square Corner" Modellen produziert wurde. Ab '41 wurden die "Square Corners" nicht mehr produziert.
Dieses Zippo hat auch kein "U-Shaped Cam Stop" mehr, also einen "|_|"-förmigen Blechstreifen, der in den Deckel eingabaut wurde und als "Cam Stop" diente.
Ab 1940 wurde das Cam Stop als Verlängerung des Scharnieres eingeführt.

- Das Case ist "unmarked", d.h., ohne Prägung
- Erst ab 1943 erschien eine Prägung auf dem Insert

Hier sieht man deutlich den "Cam Stop".
1940 war das erste Jahr, in dem solch ein Cam Stop, der praktisch eine Erweiterung des Hinges ist, verbaut wurde. In den Jahren vorher wurde das sog. "U-Shaped Cam Stop verwendet (bis 1939).
